Last Friday and Saturday, February 19 and 20 our swimmers took part in the Ennis Invitation Gala at the Ennis Leisure Complex. Congratulations to those who achieved PBs in their events and also to Anna Howard on her fantastic bronze medal finish in the 100m butterfly final.
TIPPERARY INVITATIONAL GALA
Best of luck to those taking part in the upcoming Tipperary Invitational Gala at the Sean Treacy Swimming Pool in Tipperary Town on this Sunday, February 28. Competition starts at 10am.
MUNSTER GRADE ‘C’ GALA
The Munster Grade ‘C’ Gala takes place in Waterford on March 6th. There is a 9am warm-up, with the competition starting at 10am. Entries: Entries must have been handed to Jackie or Paula before Tuesday, February 23. Swimmers may only swim in four events, two of which must be the 100m freestyle and the 100m Ind. Medley. See the club noticeboard for further details.
MUNSTER L.C. CHAMPIONSHIPS
This event is being held in UL on March 12 and 13. Saturday warm-up is 11.30am with a start time of 12.30pm and Sunday’s warm-up is at 9am with the event starting at 10am.
Entry fee is €7 per individual event – €20 per relay event. Name/gala/events written on the outside of an envelope, sealed and given to Zdenka or Jackie on or before Tuesday, February 23. Full details are on the club noticeboard.

Saturday, February 6 – no Torp training as Grade A Gala. Grade B swimmers to train with Sharks 8-10am; Saturday, February 13 – no Sharks or Marlins as Grade B gala on in pool. Sharks Grade C to train with Torps 5-7pm; Sunday, February 28 – no Dolphin training as Tipperary Invitation Gala. Grade C Gala is on the 5th or 6th March (date to be confirmed); Friday, March 11 – no Glofish or Swordfish (Credit Union Gala); Saturday, March 12 – no Training for Sharks / Marlins or Torps as the pool is closed; Sunday, March 13 – no Training for Torps (Munster Long Course Gala); Friday, March 18 – no Swordfish & Glofish as it’s the Easter Holidays. Grade B Gala will be on the 19th or 20th March (date to be confirmed); Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday, March 27 – no training for any squad as it’s the Easter weekend; Tuesday, March 29 – no Sharks or Dolphins training; Wednesday, March 30 – no Sharks training; Friday, April 1 – no Swordfish or Glofish training; Saturday 2 and Sunday, April 3 – no Torps as Munster Division 2.
