The Irish Age Groups Division 2 Championships run this weekend, from Thursday, July 5 to Sunday, July 8, in the University of Limerick Sports Arena.
FSC are proud to have 6 swimmers representing us at Div 2 this year, it is a huge achievement for them and the culmination of their hard work and training since the season began, all the way back in September.
The qualification standards for divisions have been getting progressively harder over the last few years. This, coupled with the changes in the age bands this year, will result some very fast swimming and competitive racing this weekend.
We wish the very best to our super 6 – Adam O’Grady (100m breaststroke), Jack Duggan (200m and 50m freestyle, 100m butterfly,) William Verling (200m and 50m freestyle), Sean Slattery (1500m and 400m freestyle), Zach Daniels-Howard (100m and 200m backstroke, 100m butterfly), and flying the flag for the women we have Sophie Baker who swims the 100m and 200m breaststroke. Good luck to the swimmers and Coach Jackie for the weekend, we will be cheering for ye all.
TRAINING IS FINISHED
In a change to the previously publicised dates, we held our last Torpedo training session this week on Tuesday morning. This is due to a scheduling change.
So enjoy the holidays everyone, you will be back in the water again before you know it!
