Fermoy Swimming Club Committee would like to update you on the completion of the swimming term that was interrupted due to the closure of the swimming pool.
The Covid-19 restriction has meant that the swimming pool has been closed for 11 weeks of the normal 2nd term. It is currently our intention, assuming everything returns to normal for the new school term in September, that we continue with the 11 weeks missed from early September to November.
This will mean that we won’t be asking for a payment in September and the second term will start earlier in late November.
We are currently working with Swim Ireland and Fermoy Leisure Centre in implementing appropriate Covid-19 related procedures and protocols so that the sessions can start back in September.
The older squads will, as usual, be the first to start back so we should have any new procedures and protocols refined before the younger children return to their squads.

We hope everyone is staying well in these uncertain times and we hope to see all our swimmers back in the pool in September.
