Mallow and Tipperary the focus for Fermoy swimmers this weekend

This weekend sees our swimmers heading to the Mallow Swans Invitational Gala (Friday and Saturday), and also to the Tipperary Tigersharks Gala on Sunday.

Our more experienced swimmers will head to Mallow for their Invitational, on April 20 and 21. On Sunday our second group head  to the Sean Treacy Pool in Tipperary for the Tigersharks Invitational. We wish them all the best of luck, you have done the hard work, enjoy the competition!

Annelies Kouwenberg, one of Fermoy SC’s senior swimmers, competed as part of Team Ireland at the British Youth Lifesaving Pool Championships at the Cardiff International Pool last weekend. A very impressive competition for Annelies, who came away with three medals from the event. Annelies is a member of the Cork Surf Life Saving club.

Best of luck to all our swimmers who are taking part in this Sunday’s National Stillwater Championships in the National Aquatic Centre, Dublin.

Remember, if your swimmer doesn’t already have a club teeshirt to wear to their next gala, we have a variety of sizes in stock. The teeshirts are dry fit, meaning they don’t retain water, and are perfect for wearing between races. It’s brilliant to see our swimmers decked out in their club colours. Please contact 087/4191623 if you wish to purchase one.

Well done to Jodie Baker and Zoe Daniels-Howard who both competed as part of the Munster team in the Interprovincial Championships last weekend in the National Aquatic Centre last Sunday. Both swam very well on the day and came away with PBs. Well done girls.
