Swimmers in training to take on the Swans and Tigersharks

Our competitive squads are working hard in training, in preparation for the upcoming Mallow Swans Invitational Gala, and the Tipperary Tigersharks Gala which takes place over the same weekend at the end of April.

Our more experienced swimmers will head to Mallow for the Level 2 licensed Invitational, on April 20th and 21st. Times achieved in Mallow count as National Division 2 qualification times, and many of our swimmers are chasing those elusive pbs in order to make the summer championships in UL.

Along with Div2, we have swimmers working to progress up the levels from 2 to 3, and we wish them all the best with their preparations.

We have a huge entry for this gala, which is brilliant to see, it promises to be a busy one.

Grange National School, who won Best Medium School at the recent Synergy Credit Union Fermoy Primary Schools swimming gala 2018, hosted by Fermoy Swimming Club, in association with Fermoy Leisure Centre.

Some of our younger swimmers are heading to Tipperary for the Tigersharks Invitational on April 22nd. This gala is often a first for our young swimmers, and is always a fun, friendly day out.

The main thing is to enjoy your day, and if it’s your first gala you are guaranteed a PB!

Remember, if your swimmer doesn’t already have a club teeshirt to wear to their next gala, we have a variety of sizes in stock. The teeshirts are dry fit, meaning they don’t retain water, and are perfect for wearing between races.

It’s brilliant to see our swimmers decked out in their club colours.
